Museums Galleries Scotland: Quality Improvement System: Scheme under development that will assist museums and other organisations to evaluate activities, help with planning and highlight areas for improvement. Museums Galleries Scotland is currently considering next stages.
The Commission on the Future Delivery of Public Services: Established in November 2010 to develop recommendations to inform work to reform public service delivery in Scotland over the coming 5 to 10 years. Creative Scotland is set to commission an independent study as it aims to find the economic impact of Scotland’s arts and creative industries. The organisation is looking to determine the impact that the creative industry has felt as a result of the recession and resulting budget cuts with a study which will keep Creative Scotland’s understanding of the situation, up-to-date. The initial phase will comprise of a scoping study reviewing possible approaches and methods to assess the economic impact on the Scottish creative scene and for consultants to recommend how to approach the full scale impact study.
