The Museums Journal reports in its February 2012 edition (p11) the decision of Norfolk County Councillors not to create a trust to run Norfolk Museums and Archaeological Service. The piece quotes Councillor James Carswell as saying ‘ Members expressed considerable satisfaction with the way the service was run. It was felt therefore, that a change was not desirable. Nor did the consultants [Winckworth Sherwood] adequately make the case for change’.
Could this be an indication that the tide is turning in relation to the attractiveness of trusts as delivery models?
